Faults

Faults may develop in your electrical installation due to deterioration or physical damage (e.g. as a result of recent building work). If designed/installed correctly, the result of a fault should be the safe disconnection of the electrical supply which in most cases a circuit breaker or fuse should automatically disconnect. As long as the fault exists the circuit breaker will not allow reconnection.

Digital Haven can find the fault and either isolate it pending repair or if possible to resolve the issue immediately - either way we will always endeavor to leave your electrical installation safe from the fault you reported.

If a fault exists and the fuse/circuit breaker has failed to disconnect then if it is safe to do so you should isolate the entire system and call us for an emergency call out (extra fees apply).

Emergency call out

If you feel unsafe as a result of a fault please call us or any local electrician (NAPIT recommended) as soon as possible, we would not advise putting yourself at risk if you are not confident to isolate the fault. If a fire is developing you are advised to call 999 immediately before calling an electrician. When we arrive we will remove the danger if possible and consult with you on remedial work if necessary.
